Well, I've posted this information under news, but figured it was exciting enough to deserve a journal entry, too.
After a 5-year hiatus and more than a year after the manga finished up in Japan, the Inuyasha anime series will begin again in Japan - picking up where the first series ended. The first series originally stopped when it caught up with the manga - ending in the middle of volume 36. Since then, 20 more volumes have been released, with the manga coming to an end in volume 56 (making it Takahashi's longest manga series so far).
Thanks to for translating the information from the Shounen Sunday and posting it on her website ( inuyashagoya.proboards.com/ind… ) (Sorry, DA seems to be eating part of the link, but you should at least be able to get to the thread and find the exact post yourself.)
We're still waiting to hear just how Viz will be handling the N. American release. They hold the rights to Inuyasha here and will definitely be releasing it in English dub, but it seems likely that they will follow in Funimation's footsteps and stream the Inuyasha episodes with subtitles soon after they air in Japan (Funimation is doing the same thing with the new Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series).

HELP ME SAVE A LIFE!
I've been MIA from DA for a while now - busy beyond belief since starting my own dog rescue. However, I'm back today to put out a plea to all my DA friends to help me with something as important as life itself.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and now more than ever I've been hit with yet another person close to me who is going through it and am working on raising the funds needed to cover the co-pay for her treatment
A few years ago we lost Baachan to breast cancer. (Baachan was the anchor of the Inuyasha fandom for years, writing award-winning IY fanfiction and monitoring many IY forums, in addition to running her own IY websit

I Can Really Use Your Help Saving Rescue Dogs!
For the past year I've volunteered my time and gas to help drive rescue dogs and cats from kill shelters around the US to rescues, fosters, and forever homes. I typically add an average of 1000 miles to my mini-van every week and with the price of gas continuing to climb, can only continue at the level I have been driving if I can get help with covering gas and tolls. To this end I have set up a ChipIn - if you'd like to help by donating to my gas please follow this link - http://coonhoundboy.chipin.com/gas-for-transport-week-of-8-22-11
If you live in the US, have a safe, working vehicle, are at least 18 years old and would like to help re

PLEASE HELP ME HELP THE ANIMALS!!! FUNDS NEEDED!
:new: :new: UPDATE - 10/13/10 - I've spent the last few months driving numerous dogs and cats being rescued from kill shelters to rescues and adopters where they will have wonderful new lives. If you live in the US, drive, and would be interested in helping drive, please contact me! Basically, long transports are broken into "legs" of anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half each.
One of the downfalls of driving as many transports as I do (often 700 miles just on the weekend, with additional local transports during the week) is the cost of gas. I have set up a ChipIn so people w
