Maybe One? Collab

I saw this lineart by - [link] - and just knew I had to try my hand at coloring it. This one took a bit of time - the original sketch was on lined notebook paper, and when I adjusted the brightness and contrast to get rid of the lines, it messed up the lineart enough that I ended up having to "ink" over part of it using my computer and my mouse. Even with that, many of the lines disappeared during the coloring, although I do like the effect on parts.

But, I'm rather happy with the finished product - Inuyasha and Kagome enjoying a sweet, romantic moment. I especially had fun coloring the clothing in this one. Notice that Kagome is not wearing her typical sailor fuka, which is a nice change and gave me a chance to put her back in blue, as I did with a previous collab.

Anyway, this was colored on my Mac OS9.1 using Photoshop 4.0 (yes, only five layers including background and lacking many of the fun tools that later versions have) and my mouse. The background is another photo cut, blurred, and adjusted to fit the scene. However, I did actually color the outcropping Inuyasha is sitting on - well, the grass is partly cut and paste pictures of real grass, but the rest was done by me.
