It's been a while since I first got the itch to draw Kagome in the scene where she dances for Inuyasha in "Temple of the Dog". I found several possible poses, but never hit on just the one I wanted.
Anyway, this is at the point where Kagome finishes her dance (the first time) and is watching to see Inuyasha's reaction. Oh, and I feel I had to *ruin* the picture by adding an extra layer for the version being submitted to DA, even though she is covered more than the vast majority of teenagers at the beach and pool this summer. I widened the skirt flap covering her back side and made it more opague. The unedited version will be posted elsewhere.
Again, before you complain about how she's dressed, look out your window and see what the teenagers in your neighborhood are wearing. She is alone in the picture, so there is no contact between two individuals. In NO way does this violate DA's current policies (although as fast as those change, who knows what they'll be five minutes from now).
Sketched on plain paper using a Bic mechanical pencil and several random references garnered from the internet for pose and Kagome's likeness. Inked with a Sakura pen and scanned into my Mac OS9.1, where I colored it using Photoshop 4.0 and a mouse that's ready for the junkyard, I'm afraid. Background is a random screencap from a virtual Egyptian temple "tour". This took me longer than usual to color due to the added problem of an extremely temperamental mouse, and was difficult with the total of five layers I have with PS 4.0 - especially difficult to make the edited version, mind you.

Thanks much! Boy, you're fast - you got the very first comment on this one!

Yeah, the editing...well, nothing you can do about it. If dA wants to be content Nazis, there's not a whole lot you can do
I do like the pose, though. Did you have a reference for that? That seems like it would be a damn hard angle without one.
Good stuff, Urd. I'm almost done with your first kiriban, your TotD-themed one is next. Almost, ^^.

We CAN fight it - pity that nobody is going to ever trust the mods here again, no matter what the outcome of this situation. More and more artists are leaving, and even the fetish and artistic nude photographers are starting to worry, figuring that they'll be the next to go. And, the thing is, quite a few of them ARE breaking the rules, and yet we aren't. It's just that DA has suddenly decided to adopt a new attitude regarding the age of a character.
